里山こらぼでは、季節ごとの自然を活かしたツアーを開催しております。
今回は、2023年12月に実施したエコツアー「SDGｓに貢献する！ミニ門松づくり＠細田ラボ―里山を歩いて感じて探究するエコツアー―」の様子をご紹介します。
今回のツアーは12/28（木）、12/29（金）の２回、午前９時～１３時に実施し、のべ９名のお客様にご参加いただきました。

Satoyama Korabo holds tours that take advantage of nature in each season.
This time, the eco-tour "Let's contribute to the SDGs! Mini Kadomatsu Creation @ Hosoda Lab - Eco Tour to Walk and Feel and Explore Satoyama".
This tour was held twice on December 28 (Thursday) and December 29 (Friday) from 9 a.m. ~ 13 o'clock, and a total of 9 guests participated.
増えすぎた竹を有効活用！-Effective use of excess bamboo-
樹木に比べて成長スピードが速く、また地下茎を張り巡らせる竹。
「竹が根を張ると地盤が固くなるんじゃないの？」と思われがちですが、増えすぎた竹は土砂崩れの原因ともなってしまいます。
詳しくは以前の記事をご覧いただければと思いますが、今回も伐採した竹を有効活用しようということで、ミニ門松づくりを実施しました。
以前ご紹介したクリスマスリースづくり同様、楽しみながら自然について学び、環境保全活動をしようという趣旨のエコツアーです。
Bamboo grows faster than trees and has rhizomes.
People tend to think, "Doesn't the ground become hard when bamboo takes root?", but too much bamboo can cause landslides.
For details, please see the previous article, but this time too, we made a mini kadomatsu to make effective use of the felled bamboo.
Similar to the Christmas wreath making introduced earlier, this eco-tour is intended to learn about nature while having fun and engage in environmental conservation activities.
竹を伐採 -Cutting down bamboo-
今回もまた、材料は基本的に自然素材を用いました。
参加者の皆様と一緒に竹林に行き、のこぎりを使って伐採をします。
太く長く成長した竹は倒れる際に危なくないよう、ロープをかけて切り倒しました。
竹の伐採には、子どもたちが大活躍！
毎年夏に実施している「はじめてのプチサバイバル」参加経験のある子も多く、手慣れた手つきで切り倒してくれました。
Again, the materials used were basically natural materials.
We will go to the bamboo forest with the participants and use a saw to cut down the trees.
The thick and long bamboo was cut down with a rope so that it would not be dangerous when it fell.
Children are very active in cutting bamboo!
Many of the children had participated in the "First Petit Survival" held every summer, and they cut them down with their familiar hands.
伐採した竹はみんなで担ぎ、細田ラボに運びました。
The felled bamboo was carried by everyone and carried to the Hosoda Lab.
自然素材でミニ門松づくり！ -Making mini kadomatsu with natural materials!-
細田ラボに着いたら、ミニ門松づくりがスタート。
まずは竹を使いたい長さに切る作業から始めました。
伐採した竹のうち太いものはミニ門松の袴（土台部分）に、細い竹は青竹に使います。
台に乗せた竹を、専用の物差しで測りながらのこぎりで切っていきます。
When we arrived at the Hosoda Lab, we started making mini Kadomatsu.
I started by cutting the bamboo to the length I wanted to use.
Of the felled bamboo, the thicker ones are used for the "hakama", meaned base part, of the mini kadomatsu, and the thinner bamboo is used for green bamboo.
The bamboo on the stand is cut with a saw while measuring with a special yardstick.
節をまたいで切ると、まるで笑っているかのように見える切り口になり、これを「大笑い」と言います。
少し難しいですが、とってもかわいい仕上がりになります♪
If you cut across the knots, you will get a cut that looks as if you are laughing, and this is called "big laughing".
It's a little difficult, but it turns out ♪ very cute
切った竹は表面をウェットティッシュで磨き、汚れを落としてから組み立てを開始しました。
細い竹を3本まとめて袴に差し、周りを松の葉やナンテン、スイセン、ロウバイといった植物で飾り付けていきます。
The cut bamboo surface was polished with wet wipes to remove dirt before starting assembly.
Three thin bamboo sticks are grouped together and inserted into the hakama, and the surrounding area is decorated with plants such as pine needles, Chimonanthus praecox, Nandina domestica, and Ardisia crenata.
たくさん飾って豪華に仕上げる方、厳選した素材ですっきりとまとめる方。
中にはミニミニ門松を作っている方もいらっしゃいました。
同じ材料を使っても、竹の切り方や飾り方でそれぞれに個性が出るのが面白いですね。
Those who decorate a lot and finish it luxuriously, and those who put it together neatly with carefully selected materials.
Some of them were making mini-mini kadomatsu.
It's interesting that even if the same materials are used, each one has its own personality depending on how the bamboo is cut and decorated.
最後は袴部分に「男結び」という結び方で麻ひもを結び、完成です！
Finally, tie the twine to the hakama part with a knot called a "man knot" and you're done!
竹の器でジビエ料理をいただきます♪ -Wild game meat dish in a bamboo bowl-
門松を完成させた後は、軽食タイム！
今回のメニューはジビエ料理です。
竹で作った器に盛りつけ、竹で作ったお箸でいただきます。
細田で採れたゆずの皮をちょっぴり入れると、いいアクセントになって更に美味しくなりました。
After completing Kadomatsu, it's time for a snack!
The menu this time is wild game meat dishes.
It is served in a bowl made of bamboo and served with chopsticks made of bamboo.
When I added a little yuzu peel from Hosoda, it became a nice accent and became even more delicious.
竹、イノシシ、シカ。いずれも元々日本にいた生き物ですが、増えすぎてしまったことで自然環境に害を及ぼしています。
そんな現状を、食事を通して知っていただこうという趣旨でのメニューでした。
Bamboo, wild boar, deer. All of them are creatures that originally lived in Japan, but they have become too numerous and are harming the natural environment.
The purpose of the menu was to let you know about such a situation through meals.
参加者の声 -Participants' Voices-
後日、参加者の皆様にご回答いただいたアンケート結果の一部を以下の通り掲載します。
・竹害というものがあることを知らなかった。山や自然を守るためには、知るべきことがたくさんあると思った
・スタッフの方が楽しくサポートしてくれたので、学びながら楽しく一日を過ごすことができた
・細田という、普段行きづらい場所に行けたのが良かった。気になっていたお散歩マーケットにも行ってみたい
・竹を使った門松づくりが楽しかったので、他の竹細工やタケノコ掘りのツアーも参加してみたい
At a later date, some of the results of the questionnaire that participants responded to will be posted as follows.
・I didn't know that there was such a thing as bamboo harm. I thought there was a lot to know in order to protect mountains and nature
・ The staff enjoyed supporting me, so I was able to spend a fun day while learning.
・It was good that I was able to go to Hosoda, a place that is usually difficult to go. I also want to go to the walking market that I was interested in.
・ I enjoyed making kadomatsu using bamboo, so I would like to participate in other bamboo crafts and bamboo shoot digging tours.
最後に -At last-
今回のミニ門松づくりも、クリスマスリース同様に環境保全活動につながるエコツアーでした。
また食を通して、イノシシやシカに代表される野生動物の問題についても関心を持ってもらいたい、という思いも込めています。
今後とも、皆様のご要望も反映しながら楽しく、そして学びになるツアーを開催してまいります。
This mini-Kadomatsu was an eco-tour that led to environmental conservation activities, just like the Christmas wreath.
We also hope that through food, people will take an interest in the problems of wild animals such as wild boar and deer.
In the future, we will continue to hold fun and educational tours while reflecting everyone's requests.
